Egon Filter é um World Photographer, fotografando gêneros como fotografia de viagem, paisagem e nightscape – e autor do projeto "Caminho das Estrelas".
Ele começou fotografando com DSLR em 1985 como a maioria de nós: fotografando tudo em todos os lugares. De 1995 a 2020, ele viajou para locais especiais da Terra, como Patagônia, Bolívia, Etiópia, Mali, Togo, Zanzibar, Síria, Irã, Quirguistão, Nepal, Índia, Mianmar, Laos, Mongólia, China, Noruega e Antártica. Dos Andes ao Himalaia, do Saara a Gobi e dos mares do sul aos céus do Ártico. Ele se concentrou em paisagens peculiares e seu povo com belas imagens. Mas depois de seis expedições ao norte da Escandinávia para capturar as fantásticas auroras boreais, a astrofotografia, em particular, capturou sua alma.
Então ele decidiu se concentrar em explorar a área local no sul do Brasil, onde a poluição luminosa ainda não atingiu níveis incontroláveis. Esta é a obra-prima da astrofotografia do autor – o projeto “Caminho das Estrelas”. Desde 2015 ministra seminários e master-classes de astrofotografia, tornando-se uma referência mundial da fotografia noturna. “Fotografar as belezas do céu noturno na Natureza é um verdadeiro privilégio - abriu um mundo que de outra forma talvez nunca tivesse experimentado”, afirmou.
Egon Filter: “Minha aspiração na Astrofotografia é acordar todos para voltar os olhos para o Universo – percebendo que somos pequenas criaturas dotadas de um belo lugar para viver, vamos cuidar bem da Terra”.

Que dicas você daria para outros fotógrafos sobre como capturar paisagens noturnas?
Para fazer uma foto impressionante das estrelas, especialmente da Via Láctea, você precisa estar em um local de céu livre de poluição luminosa. Você deve começar procurando lugares interessantes durante o dia, pois isso será muito mais difícil à noite. À noite, deixe seus olhos se adaptarem por alguns minutos à escuridão e explore diferentes composições até encontrar uma que você diga “É essa”!

Egon Filter is a World Photographer, shooting in such genres as travel, landscape and nightscape photography – author of the project "Caminho das Estrelas".
He has started with DSLR imaging in 1985 like most of us: photographing everything everywhere. From 1995 to 2020 he has traveled to ultimate locations of the Earth like Patagonia, Bolivia, Ethiopia, Mali, Togo, Zanzibar, Syria, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, India, Myanmar, Laos, Mongolia, China, Norway and Antarctica. From the Andes to the Himalayas, from Sahara to Gobi and from Southern seas to Artic skies. He had focused on peculiar landscapes and its people with beautiful images. But after six expeditions to northern Scandinavia to capture the fantastic dancing auroras, the astrophotography in particular has captured his soul.
Then he decided to focus on exploring the local area in South Brazil, where still light pollution has not reached unmanageable levels. This is the authors astrophotography masterpiece work – the project “Caminho das Estrelas” (the “Stars Track”). Since 2015 he is running seminars and master classes on astrophotography, becoming a World reference of night-time photography. “Photographing the beauties of the night sky in the Wild is truly a privilege - it has opened up a world that I may have otherwise never experienced” he stated.
Egon Filter: “My aspiration in Astrophotography is to wake up everybody to turn the eyes to the Universe – realizing that we are tiny creatures gifted with a beautiful place to live, let’s take good care of Earth”.

What tips would you give to other photographers about capturing nightscapes?
In order to take a stunning picture of stars, especially the Milky Way, you need to be in a dark sky location. You should start by looking for nice spots during the day, as this will be much more difficult at night. At night, let your eyes rest for several minutes in total darkness and explore different compositions until you find one that you say “this is THE one”!!!
